Went in for a couple burgers and apple dumpling. All were terrific! Good value, tasty food, and no fighting the village traffic.

We enjoyed this restaurant after spending the weekend camping. They have a patio, dog friendly. The server was friendly and brought out water for our dog. The food came out almost immediately so I'm guessing they have it pretty much ready to go back there. We got the chicken fried steak and biscuits with gravy, and the hobo breakfast platter. The chicken fried steak was nice and crispy even with the gravy, so that was particularly great. It is cash only, there's a sign on the wall right when you walk in. The ATM is pretty old but if you swipe your card with a plastic bag on it, it'll work in one try.. old retail trick. Though seems like they could replace the ATM and be better.

Thelma's is great local diner. We had breakfast that was delicious, service was friendly and fast. They used to be cash only but now take credit cards. I had the huevos rancheros and my husband had the country style Benedict and they were both delicious. Highly recommend.

Burger and fries, pretty basic. They put crisped onions on top of the burger, and it was OK. I'd probably prefer grilled instead. I'd come back for the prime rib special. There was even a prime rib sandwich, I should have gotten that. McDonald's-sized fries, love those. Excellent service, thank you!

Busy place! The Reuben sandwich with potato salad was excellent! Lots of sauerkraut and meat. Lots of pan fries for the egg dish. Unfortunately, the waitress didn’t understand what “lightly basted” was for the eggs. The sausage not very good, so choose another dish - - there is plenty of good food, but the biscuits and gravy very tasty. The flattened cinnamon bun was good but rich. Be prepared to wait and make sure you sign your name up at the desk when you enter.

Thelma's Family Restaurant – A Big Bear Breakfast Gem Every year, we visit Big Bear and try a new breakfast spot—this time, it was Thelma's Family Restaurant, and it did not disappoint! From the start, the friendly staff made us feel welcome, and we were seated quickly. Our orders included: Eggs Benedict – Perfectly cooked with runny yolks and delicious hollandaise. The fried potatoes on the side were crispy and flavorful. Country Fried Steak & Eggs – One of the best I’ve had! Crispy outside, tender inside, and paired with rich, flavorful gravy. Chorizo Breakfast Burrito – A hit with my son, packed with bold flavors. Kids' Breakfast Combo – My daughter devoured the pancakes, and the biscuits and gravy were outstanding. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Five out of five stars—we’ll definitely be back! Oh yeah and that sausage link was to die for!

This is a fun place to come and eat because the atmosphere is relaxed and easy-going, the people who work there are very nice and friendly. They treat you like family there The food is good and there is a variety of food to choose from. I tried the cinnamon roll for the first time and it was good. I also had the Cobb salad and that too was good. The French fries are done just right. I highly recommend coming here for some comfort food and a welcoming environment. My friend loves the chicken fajitas pita and her kids love the chicken strips and fries.
